Another edition of the trendy event Porco Mundi took place yesterday. As the name says, the project praises the pork and is idealized by Jefferson Rueda, chef at A Casa do Porco Bar, who always has the support of his wife, also one of the great names of Brazilian cuisine, “Dona Onça” Janaina Rueda. Throughout the night, 35 chefs from seven Brazilian states invaded Jeffinho’s kitchen and each one was responsible for a dish of the big feast, which started with a cocktail and followed the rules of a formal dinner with starter, main dish and dessert . The privileged diners attended the event at a cost of R$ 1.000 per invitation.

It is the second time that the event has happened this year. The initiative started in 2016 and has already had six editions. Each time, there is a chosen team / theme and for this one Rueda’s goal was to bring together chefs who work to consolidate the national gastronomic market, regardless of cuisine style or nationality. Names such as Bella Masano, Carla Pernambuco, Edinho Engel, Flávia Quaresma, Ivo Faria, Mara Salles, Mônica Rangel, Roberta Sudbrack and Tereza Paim were present. In addition there was also the generation of foreigners who were vital to the beginning the valorization of our cuisine, with names such as the French Claude Troisgros, Emmanuel Bassoleil, Laurent Suaudeau, Erick Jacquin; and the Italians Salvatore Loi, Danio Braga and Luciano Boseggia.


In past editions there were chefs from Spain (2016), Ecuador (2017), Argentina (2018), Brasil (2018) and Peru (2019).
