Makes: Serves 6
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
- 6 STRIPLOIN STEAKS
- 2 TABLESPOONS OF CORN OIL
- 2 MEDIUM ONIONS, CUT INTO STRIPS
- 2 TABLESPOONS OF VINEGAR
- SALT AND BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE
Season the steaks with salt and black pepper. Fry them on heated oil – only turn the steaks over when they begin to release juices at the top, assuring they are medium-rare. If you want them to be well-done, leave them a bit longer. Remove the steaks and add the onion strips to the pan. Season with salt and black pepper and wait until they have lightly withered. Add the vinegar and scrape the bottom of the pan in order to bring forth flavour and remove the steak browned residues. Serve the onions on top of the steaks.
