Vitis vinifera L.

This variety of table grape – that is, a grape not suitable to make wine – has large, light-green berries and contains seeds. It is enjoyed fresh or used to complement salads, savory sauces and fruit pies. A classic candy sometimes served at parties in Brazil is made by cooking sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, and butter until the mixture is firm enough to be rolled out, after cooling, and stuffed with an Italia grape berry.
