Process the papaya pulp with ice cream in a blender until smooth and creamy. Serve with a few drops of crème de cassis.
The combination of ice cream with papaya was very popular in São Paulo in the 1990s. With a touch of crème de cassis, it was one of the favourite desserts at homes and rodízios de carne (all-you-can-eat barbecue restaurants). Rodeio restaurant claims the authorship of this dessert, but many steakhouses have adopted it as a classic.
